Glenn J. Pline, age 60, of St. Johns, Michigan, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, August 11, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 26, 1956, in St. Johns, to Francis and Alice (Wohlfert) Pline, Glenn was a proud 1975 graduate of St. Johns High School and a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Johns. His arrangements are entrusted to Keck-Coleman Funeral Home in St. Johns, Michigan.
Glenn had a zest for life that was infectious to everyone around him. He cherished moments spent with family at the lake, enjoyed leisurely boat rides, and found simple pleasure in sharing a beer with friends. An avid outdoorsman, Glenn loved hunting and fishing, and he was well-known for his engaging storytelling and signature “Glenndoisms.” Above all, Glenn was a dedicated provider, always placing the well-being of his family first. He married Joyce Miller on May 28, 1977, and together they celebrated 40 wonderful years of marriage this past May.
Glenn’s legacy continues through his beloved wife, Joyce; his two daughters, Jill (Mark) Martinez and Emilie (Jason) Randolph, both of St. Johns, of whom he was incredibly proud; and his five grandsons, Aiden, Bryson, and Brady Martinez, and Jackson and Owen Randolph, who adored their grandpa. He is also survived by his sisters, Jacqueline (James) Vasilenko, Sharlene “Shelly” (David) Mageli; and brothers, Roy (Janet), Bruce (Irene), all of St. Johns, and Jay (Annie) of Portland, along with numerous sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial to honor Glenn’s life will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, located at 109 Linden, St. Johns, on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at 10:00 AM, with Rev. Fr. Michael Williams officiating. Following the service, Rite of Committal will take place at Mt. Rest Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation hours at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, located in St. Johns. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 14th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Tuesday, August 15th, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A vigil service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 7:30 PM.
