When Erin and Justin, a delightful couple originally planning their wedding closer to home in Knoxville, Tennessee, chose this Michigan gem, I knew I was in for something extraordinary. Their story, like the venue itself, is one of unexpected beauty and delightful surprises.

The Inn at St. John’s is more than just a name suggests. It’s an experience. Initially drawn to me after seeing my work at her brother’s wedding, Erin reached out with a question that led to an unforgettable journey: “Would you ever consider coming to Michigan for a wedding at The Inn at St. John’s?” My answer was an immediate and resounding yes, driven by the warmth of this family and the promise of a unique wedding celebration. Originally set for October 2020, their wedding, like many others, navigated the uncertainties of postponement, eventually blossoming in June 2021. Fortunately, timing was on our side, and with restrictions lifting just weeks before, Erin and Justin celebrated in their dream venue, The Atrium at The Inn at St. John’s, with their full guest list and without masks, a true blessing!

The Inn at St. John’s isn’t just a hotel; it’s a destination. It uniquely blends hospitality with grandeur, being part of a cathedral complex while also boasting a prestigious golf course, a gourmet restaurant, and the magnificent Atrium reception space. Driving up to The Inn, the striking arches, classic brickwork, and meticulously manicured landscaping immediately reveal why Erin and Justin chose to host their wedding here, despite living in Knoxville. This venue is unparalleled, offering a sophistication and architectural beauty rarely found elsewhere, especially compared to typical Knoxville settings. It’s truly a photographer’s dream and a couple’s paradise.
