Heather Torelli-Ienopoli, FNP-BC
Director of Student Health Services & Family Nurse Practitioner at St. John’s Health Center
Heather Torelli-Ienopoli, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, leads the St. John’s Health Center as the Director of Student Health Services. Specializing in Family Practice Medicine, her expertise encompasses pediatric, adult, and geriatric care, ensuring comprehensive healthcare for the diverse student population at St. John’s University. Holding an Associate and Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Gwynedd Mercy College, and a Master of Science in Nursing from Thomas Jefferson University, Heather brings over 17 years of healthcare experience to St. John’s Health Center. Her background includes acute inpatient care, primary care, retail health, and corporate health, in roles ranging from provider to educator and leader. Heather’s medical philosophy centers on preventative care through early intervention and education, aiming to minimize chronic illness among students. Joining St. John’s Health Center from Crossover Health @ Comcast NBCUniversal in August 2022, she is passionate about supporting the health and well-being of St. John’s students, recognizing them as future leaders. Beyond her professional life at St. John’s Health Center, Heather is a devoted wife and mother, and enjoys running, comedy, and traveling.
Tatum Fitzgerald, DNP, FNP-BC

Tatum Fitzgerald serves as a Family Nurse Practitioner at St. John’s University Health Center, dedicated to providing accessible and quality healthcare to students. Board-certified with a subspecialty in Women’s Health, Tatum earned both her Master’s of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice from Columbia University, solidifying her expertise in patient-centered care. Her career began nine years ago in sexual and reproductive health, evolving through roles as an RN and FNP in primary and urgent care settings. Tatum’s commitment to healthcare equity is evident in her passion for serving under-served communities, now extended to the student population at St. John’s Health Center. Since joining St. John’s in March 2023, Tatum feels privileged to support students during their formative young adult years at St. John’s University. Outside of her work at St. John’s Health Center, she enjoys outdoor activities, exploring culinary delights, and cheering on the New York Knicks.

Deeply rooted in Jamaica, Queens, Mark’s local background informs his dedication to accessible healthcare for the St. John’s University student community. Beyond his practice at St. John’s Health Center, Mark is a devoted family man and shares his expertise as an adjunct professor at Molloy University, inspiring future healthcare professionals for over a decade.

Nicole Casten, a licensed Registered Nurse at St. John’s Health Center, offers over 20 years of nursing experience across diverse healthcare settings. Earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from the College of New Rochelle, Nicole’s background includes occupational health, critical care, primary care, and women’s reproductive health, providing a well-rounded skill set to support students at St. John’s University. With 10 years of prior college health experience, Nicole joined the Student Health Services team in June 2022, further strengthening the expertise at St. John’s Health Center. She is passionate about contributing to the well-being of St. John’s students and providing a supportive healthcare environment. Outside of St. John’s Health Center, Nicole enjoys family time, friendships, her love for Marvel, music, and dancing.
Rhiannon Alton, RN

Graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Molloy University in 2019, Rhiannon gained valuable inpatient experience in Pediatrics and Labor and Delivery before joining St. John’s Health Center in February 2023. Her diverse nursing background enhances the care provided at St. John’s Health Center, ensuring students receive comprehensive support for their health needs. Rhiannon is enthusiastic about being part of the St. John’s community and helping students navigate their healthcare journey. Beyond her role at St. John’s Health Center, Rhiannon enjoys traveling, spending time with loved ones, and relaxing with a good book.

Kristine Alido serves as the Medical Records Specialist and Front Desk personnel at St. John’s Health Center, often being the first friendly face students encounter. With her expertise as a Certified Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist from Plaza College, Kristine is a valuable resource for student inquiries and facilitates seamless appointment scheduling with healthcare providers at St. John’s Health Center. Her professional background includes experience in private clinics and corporate health, where she honed her skills in outpatient procedures, confidential paperwork management, and high-quality patient care. Joining St. John’s Health Center in March 2023, Kristine is eager to apply her customer service excellence to enhance the student experience at this established medical facility. In her personal time, Kristine enjoys reading, meditation, outdoor exploration, and cherishing moments with friends, family, and her pets.
