East Baltimore Medical Center (EBMC) stands as a pillar of healthcare in the East Baltimore community, providing accessible and high-quality medical services to residents. While it was formerly known and trusted as a Johns Hopkins Community Physicians practice, EBMC transitioned to become a Federally-Qualified Health Center under the Baltimore Medical System (BMS) on June 4, 2020. This change signifies an evolution aimed at strengthening community healthcare while maintaining the excellent standards patients have come to expect.
This transition means that East Baltimore Medical Center is now part of a larger network of community-focused healthcare centers under Baltimore Medical System. Crucially, for patients, the hallmarks of EBMC remain unchanged: you can continue to receive the same exceptional medical care at the familiar location at 1000 E. Eager Street, Baltimore, MD 21202, and with the same dedicated healthcare providers you trust.
Continuity of Care: Same Location, Same Providers, Same Great Care
The core message for patients is one of reassurance and continuity. East Baltimore Medical Center’s commitment to providing excellent healthcare remains steadfast. Patients can find comfort in knowing that their healthcare journey will continue seamlessly.
- Same Location: EBMC remains at its convenient location in East Baltimore, ensuring continued accessibility for the community it serves.
- Same Providers: The dedicated team of physicians and healthcare professionals who have been serving the community are still at EBMC, providing the same compassionate and expert care.
- Same Great Care: The quality of medical care that patients have associated with both Johns Hopkins Community Physicians and East Baltimore Medical Center remains the top priority. The transition to Baltimore Medical System enhances the center’s ability to serve the community through expanded resources and a strengthened focus on community health.
