John Xavier D’Angelo, a resident of East Fallowfield, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away at the age of 72 on Sunday, May 16, 2021, after a short illness. For those in the John Lord Exton Pa area and beyond who knew him, John was a man of notable character and warmth. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Elaine (John) D’Angelo, with whom he shared 27 wonderful years of marriage.
Born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, to his late parents Anna (Sciotti) and Peter D’Angelo, John’s life journey led him to graduate from Unionville High School and dedicate his career to Verizon, formerly known as Bell Atlantic, before retiring. His commitment to service extended beyond his professional life, as he honorably served in the US Army National Guard, embodying the spirit of an American patriot throughout his life. John’s faith was central to his being; he was a member of Calvary Chapel of Chester Springs and lived each day guided by his devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ. To those who knew John Lord Exton PA, he was known for his kind nature, sharp wit that could lighten any moment, strong convictions, and a willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Above all, his defining characteristic was the profound love and dedication he held for his wife, Elaine.
John is lovingly remembered by his wife, Elaine, his sons Brian and Jeffrey D’Angelo, and his stepson, Matthew Fesak. He is also survived by his siblings: Jean Kovach and her husband George, Fran Broomall, Peter D’Angelo and his wife Lucy, Lori Yerkes and her husband Michael, and Joe D’Angelo. His loyal canine companions, Murphy and Marcy, will also miss him dearly.
He was predeceased by his brother Michael, sister-in-law, Ruth D’Angelo, and brother-in-law, Robert Broomall.
A joint service to celebrate the lives of Elaine and John will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 19 at Calvary Chapel Chester Springs, located at 217 Dowlin Forge Rd, Exton, PA 19341.
