Remembering John Kent: A Life Filled with Joy and Love

John Kent Busalacchi, a man who embraced life to the fullest, passed away on December 23, 2024, at the age of 67. His departure leaves a void, but his legacy of joy, laughter, and profound love remains. John, as he was fondly known to many, lived each moment with an infectious passion that touched everyone around him.

A devoted football enthusiast, John Kent held a special place in his heart for the New Orleans Saints. Beyond the thrill of the game, he found immense pleasure in the simple act of playing cards with his cherished friends, spending countless happy hours in their company. However, above all else, John’s family was the cornerstone of his world. They were his greatest love, and he dedicated himself to them wholeheartedly.

John Kent made his professional mark in the film industry, where his kindness, generosity, and remarkable sense of humor brightened the lives of countless individuals. He was known for his unwavering loyalty to those he held dear, and his vibrant zest for life served as an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The simple pleasures John Kent appreciated, combined with his steadfast devotion to family and friends, will be treasured memories for everyone fortunate enough to have been a part of his life. He is lovingly survived by his partner, Sandi Stone; his daughter, Anna B. Laque (Jared); his son, Luca Busalacchi; his sister, Jan B. Martus (Matt); his nephew, Alex Martus; his brother, Anthony Busalacchi; and his stepfather, Richard Allen. His extended family, including Joseph Marcello (Gail), Dayna M Bozeman (Travis), Carlos Marcello, Steve Marcello, and Dean Marcello, along with numerous dear friends, also mourn his passing. John was predeceased by his father, Frank Busalacchi, and his mother, Louise B. Allen.

John Kent will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever resonate in the hearts of those who loved him. May his memory be a blessing and a source of comfort to all who mourn his loss.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate John Kent’s life at a funeral mass on Monday, January 27, 2025, at 11:00 am at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Luling, LA. Visitation will begin at the church at 10:00 am until the service commences.
