John R. Evans Sr., a resident of New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home on November 26, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 1, 1970, in New Albany, John Evans lived a life marked by his passion for mechanics, his infectious humor, and his deep devotion to family and friends. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

John Evans dedicated his professional life to mechanics, a vocation that was more than just a job to him—it was a true passion. His deep understanding and enthusiasm for cars were evident to everyone around him. He wasn’t just skilled in his craft; he genuinely loved sharing his knowledge and excitement about automobiles with others. This expertise made him a go-to person for many in his community seeking reliable automotive advice or repair.

John Evans is survived by his beloved wife, Amanda Evans; his mother, Sandra (Milard Evans) Nail; his sons, Johnny (Brooklyn) Evans and Jesse (Brittany) Evans, along with Dominick Lynch, Jason Nichols, and Thomas Taylor; and his daughters, Dannielle (Daniel) Fitzgerald, Megan Nichols, and Ashley Eisman. His legacy continues through his 15 grandchildren and even a furry granddog. He is also remembered by his brothers, Timmy (Amy) Evans and Kenny (Jenn) Bright; his sister, Rene Dixon; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, all of whom will hold him dear in their memories.

John Evans was predeceased by his father, Gerald Bright, and his maternal grandparents, John and Wilma Nail. While he will be deeply missed, the spirit of John R. Evans Sr. will undoubtedly endure in the hearts of his family and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

In accordance with his wishes, John Evans will be cremated, and no formal services will be held. His life, however, speaks volumes and will be remembered with fondness and joy by those he left behind.
