PTA Bike Rodeo (3rd, 4th and 5th Grades) – March 7, 2025: Get ready for some two-wheeled fun! Our PTA is hosting a Bike Rodeo for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders on the Upper Playground. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to practice bike safety skills and enjoy some outdoor activity with their peers. Mark your calendars for March 7th, from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM.

Enrollment For All Grades Starts – March 10, 2025: Planning for the future? Enrollment for all grades at John Adams Elementary School begins on March 10, 2025. Whether you are new to the Torrance Unified School District or have a younger child ready to start their educational journey, now is the time to enroll. Online and in-person enrollment options will be available at the District’s FWEC. For Transitional Kindergarten (TK), children must be born between 9/2/2020 – 9/1/2021, and for Kindergarten, children must be born between 9/2/2019 – 9/1/2020.

No School – Local Non-Instructional Day – March 14, 2025: Please note that there will be no school on March 14, 2025, due to a local non-instructional day. Use this day to relax, recharge, or enjoy some quality family time.

Progress Reports Available on PowerSchool – March 21, 2025: Stay informed about your child’s academic progress! Parents will be able to view Progress Reports on PowerSchool starting March 21, 2025. PowerSchool provides a convenient way to monitor grades and track academic performance throughout the year.

Invite-Only Parent Conferences & Early Dismissal – March 26-28, 2025: Parent-teacher communication is vital to student success. Invite-only Parent Conferences are scheduled from March 26th to 28th. Please be aware of early dismissal times during these conference days: TK & K: 1:50 PM (no change), 1st – 3rd Grade: 2:03 PM, 4th – 5th Grade: 2:12 PM.

Spring Break – April 7-11, 2025: Get ready for a break! John Adams Elementary School will be closed for Spring Break from April 7th to 11th, 2025. Enjoy the time off and we look forward to welcoming students back refreshed and ready to learn.
