Born in Detroit, Michigan, Geoff Johns cultivated his passion for storytelling at Michigan State University, where he immersed himself in media arts, screenwriting, film production, and film theory. Donner, acclaimed for directing Superman: The Movie, Lethal Weapon 4, and Conspiracy Theory, became an early mentor, shaping Johns’ understanding of narrative and character development.
Johns’ entry into the world of comics began with STARS AND S.T.R.I.P.E. for DC Comics, where he also introduced the beloved character Stargirl.
