Mrs. Lovett, the charming senior feline from Father John’s Animal House, is ready to steal your heart and find her forever home. Don’t let the name fool you – while it might be inspired by a certain Sweeney Todd character, this Mrs. Lovett is as sweet as pie and just wants to shower you with affection. At approximately nine years young, she arrived at Father John’s Animal House after her previous owner sadly passed away, and her dad was unable to continue providing her care.
You might notice that Mrs. Lovett has some thinner fur on her sides, a result of stress-grooming. This is why the compassionate team at Father John’s Animal House is eager to find her a calm and loving environment where she can truly relax and thrive. While she has a history of overgrooming and occasional hairballs, she has been doing wonderfully in the care of Father John’s. She does have a quirky side, known for playfully “stealing” sponges from sinks – so be sure to keep those Brillo pads safely stored away!
Ideally, Mrs. Lovett is seeking a peaceful, adult-only home where she can be the center of attention and receive all the love she deserves. While she previously lived with another cat and was tolerant of sharing her space – as long as she remained the queen, of course! – here at Father John’s Animal House, she coexists with other cats without issue, mostly keeping to herself in her preferred cozy and elevated bed. She’s even formed a sweet friendship with another resident, Victor, who is also searching for his forever home. While she could potentially share her home with a very respectful feline companion, Mrs. Lovett would truly blossom as your cherished one-and-only.
Once she feels comfortable, Mrs. Lovett transforms into an affectionate companion who will happily cuddle up and sleep by your side every night.
