Former Filipino actor John Wayne Sace is in police custody following his arrest on Tuesday, October 29, in connection with the death of 43-year-old Lynell Eugenio. The 35-year-old Sace is accused of fatally shooting Eugenio in Pasig City on the evening of Monday, October 28.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred in Barangay Sagad, Pasig City. A report from GMA News detailed that Sace allegedly used a .45 caliber pistol to shoot Eugenio multiple times. Law enforcement swiftly responded, and Sace was apprehended hours later at a hotel in the vicinity. He was then taken to the Pasig City Police Headquarters for processing and investigation.
Authorities conducted a paraffin test on Sace at the Eastern Police District to determine if he had recently discharged a firearm. This procedure is standard in shooting-related investigations to detect gunpowder residue on a suspect’s hands. The police also reported recovering a weapon believed to be the firearm used in the alleged murder.
