John Arthur Cooper, a cherished husband, father, and brother, passed away peacefully in Keller, TX on October 18, 2024, at the age of 64. Born in Dover, NJ on December 15, 1959, John Cooper leaves behind a legacy deeply rooted in love, family, and joyful moments that will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
John Cooper’s life was a testament to his unwavering dedication to his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Cooper, his daughters Chelsea Cooper and Amanda Moore, his son-in-law Jake Moore, his brother Tom Cooper, his sister-in-law Kim Cooper, and his loyal canine companion, Buddy. For John Cooper, family was paramount. His greatest joy and sense of accomplishment came from the happiness and well-being of those he held dear.
Beyond his family, John Cooper embraced life with enthusiasm and passion. A devoted fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, he relished the camaraderie and excitement of supporting his team. Outside of football, John enjoyed watching golf, dedicating his time to volunteering at church, and relaxing over lunch on “the deck.” However, the moments he treasured most were those spent with Susan, Chelsea, and Amanda, celebrating their milestones and simply being together. These were the moments that truly defined John Cooper’s life.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of John Cooper will be held at Calvary Lutheran Church, located at 7620 Baker Boulevard, Richland Hills, TX 76118, on October 26, 2024, at 11:00 am. Friends and family are invited to join together to remember John Cooper and pay tribute to his enduring legacy.
John Arthur Cooper will be lovingly remembered for his inherent kindness, his steadfast devotion to family, and the unconditional love he shared with everyone around him. His memory will continue to inspire and live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love John Cooper.
John Cooper was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Margaret Cooper, and his in-laws, Robert and Bridget Amos.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations in memory of John Cooper be made to the Calvary Lutheran Church Mission Trip Fund, allowing his spirit of generosity and service to continue.
