A graduate of the University of Maine, John Sturgis spent many fulfilling years in Sabbathday Lake, New Gloucester, ME. Initially enjoying his parents’ cottage, he and Paula later built their dream home there. Sabbathday Lake became the backdrop for treasured memories with family and friends, filled with lobster feasts, boating adventures, tubing, swimming, fishing, and simply enjoying quality time together. Affectionately known as “Pops,” John especially loved being with his family and watching his grandchildren grow.
In accordance with John and Paula’s wishes, a private celebration of John’s life will be held at a later date. There will be no calling hours or formal service at this time.
