U.S. Representative John Rose is a dedicated public servant currently in his fourth term representing Tennessee’s Sixth Congressional District. His commitment to his constituents and conservative values are evident in his work on both the House Agriculture Committee and the House Financial Services Committee. Born and raised in Cookeville, Tennessee, Rep John Rose embodies the values of the state he serves, residing there with his wife Chelsea and their sons, Guy and Sam. His deep roots in Tennessee extend back generations to his family farm, a legacy of over 230 years in the Temperance Hall and Lancaster communities within DeKalb and Smith Counties. He is the owner and president of Boson Software, LLC, a successful I.T. training company. His prior public service includes serving as Commissioner of Agriculture for the State of Tennessee, demonstrating his commitment to the agricultural community. Further highlighting his dedication to Tennessee’s heritage, Rep John Rose volunteered for twelve years with the Tennessee State Fair Association, ultimately serving as Chairman. His leadership was instrumental in revitalizing the State Fair after it faced abandonment in Nashville. Today, the thriving State Fair is proudly hosted within his Sixth Congressional District in Lebanon, at the Wilson County-State Fairgrounds.

Rep John Rose’s educational foundation is firmly rooted in Tennessee, graduating from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville with a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness economics. He furthered his education with a Master of Science in agricultural economics from Purdue University and a Juris Doctorate from Vanderbilt University, equipping him with a comprehensive understanding of agriculture, business, and law.

The Rose family are active members of the Cookeville community, regularly attending Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ.
